Video post
How to create a post with a video and an optional caption.
Overview
A video post is one video with an optional caption. You upload the video, add a caption if you want, pick which accounts get it, and publish or schedule. It works on Facebook, Bluesky, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Threads, YouTube, Pinterest, TikTok, and Instagram.
How to create a video post
- Open the Composer and add a video (drag and drop or click to upload). Add a caption if you like.
Or go to Create → Video post and upload the video there. - Click Continue (if you started in the Composer).
- Select the accounts that should receive the post.
- Click Publish now to post right away, or Schedule to choose a date and time.
We check that your video’s aspect ratio and length are supported. If something isn’t allowed (e.g. wrong aspect ratio), we’ll show a message so you can fix it.
Where video posts work
- Facebook, Bluesky, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Threads, YouTube, Pinterest, TikTok, Instagram
Limits you’ll notice
- Length — Most platforms have a max length (e.g. TikTok often under 10 minutes). Keep your video within those limits.
- Aspect ratio — Common ratios like 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, 3:4 are supported. If your file doesn’t match, we’ll ask you to use a different file or trim it.
Tips
- Vertical (9:16) works well for TikTok and Instagram Reels; horizontal (16:9) for YouTube.
- Big files can take a while to upload. Wait for the upload to finish before publishing or scheduling.
Common questions
Q: Can I add more than one video in one post?
A: For a single post with multiple videos, use Collection. For a series of posts (e.g. a thread), use Thread.
Q: Why did my video fail to upload?
A: Check the file size and length for the platforms you chose. If you see an error about aspect ratio, use a supported ratio (e.g. 16:9 or 9:16).
