Scheduling
Schedule a post for a specific date and time, or send it to the next queue slot.
Overview
When you create a post, you can either publish it now or schedule it for later. Scheduling gives you two options:
- Next Queue Slot — The post is assigned to the next free slot from your posting queue. You don’t pick the time; the queue does. Good for “post this whenever the next slot is.”
- Specific date and time — You choose the exact date and time. The post is scheduled for that moment (using your timezone).
All times use the timezone you set in Settings (e.g. Asia/Calcutta). The schedule panel shows your timezone so you know what “9 AM” means.
How to schedule a post
- Create your post (Composer or Create) and select the accounts you want to post to.
- In the Schedule post section (right sidebar), turn scheduling on (toggle).
- Choose how to schedule:
- Next Queue Slot — Click it. The UI shows the next available slot (e.g. “Sunday, Mar 15 – 12:00 PM”). Click Schedule and the post is queued for that slot.
- Specific date and time — Use the Date and Time fields to pick when the post should go out. Click Schedule and the post is scheduled for that moment.
- The post appears in Dashboard → Posts with a Scheduled or Queued label until it publishes.
You can change or cancel it anytime before it goes out by opening the post from the Posts list.
Where to see scheduled posts
- Dashboard → Posts — Filter or open any post to see if it’s Scheduled or Queued, and to edit the time, content, or cancel.
Tips
- Set your timezone in Settings → Preferences so “9 AM” is 9 AM where you are.
- If you use the queue, set up your slots in Settings → Queue first. Then Next Queue Slot in the schedule panel will show the next free slot.
Common questions
Can I change the time after I schedule?
Yes. Open the post from the Posts list and change the date or time (or switch to Next Queue Slot / manual).
What if I scheduled for the wrong time zone?
Update your timezone in Settings → Preferences. Then edit the post’s scheduled time if you need to correct that specific post.
Can I cancel a scheduled post?
Yes. Open the post and delete it, or remove the schedule so it stays as a draft.
Does “Next Queue Slot” use my queue settings?
Yes. It uses the weekly time slots and days you set in Settings → Queue. If you change the queue later, that does not change posts that are already scheduled—only new “Next Queue Slot” choices use the updated queue.
